Andreas Holmqvist (born 6 February 1975) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman and current sports executive. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Rangers and the Vancouver Canucks, as well as in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) for teams including Djurgårdens IF and Frölunda HC. After retiring as a player in 2012, Holmqvist transitioned to management, serving as sporting director for Djurgårdens IF and later for other Swedish clubs. His career is noted for his defensive reliability, international experience, and subsequent contributions to Swedish ice hockey administration.
