Andreas Heimann

Andreas Heimann (born January 10, 1992) is a German chess player who holds the title of Grandmaster (GM). Born in Rheinfelden, Germany, Heimann emerged as a notable figure in German chess during his youth, participating in various national and international junior championships.

Heimann was awarded the title of International Master (IM) by FIDE in 2009. He achieved the necessary norms and rating requirements for the Grandmaster title over the following years, and the title was officially conferred upon him in 2016.

In competitive play, Heimann is a frequent participant in the Chess Bundesliga, the premier team chess league in Germany. He has represented various clubs, including OSG Baden-Baden and SF Deizisau. His career is characterized by consistent performances in open tournaments and team championships across Europe.
