Playing Career
Brockmann began his professional playing career in the mid-1980s and established himself as a talented forward in Germany's top ice hockey league. He played for several prominent clubs throughout his career, becoming known for his offensive capabilities and leadership.- Düsseldorfer EG (DEG): Brockmann had multiple successful stints with Düsseldorfer EG, where he won several German championships.
- Kölner Haie: He also played for the rival Kölner Haie, contributing to their competitive success.

Coaching Career
