Anastasia Bucsis (born January 22 1990) is a Canadian former competitive speed skater and current sport broadcaster. She represented Canada in the women's 500 metres short‑track speed skating event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and again at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Bucsis retired from elite competition in 2015, citing a desire to pursue other professional opportunities.
After retiring, Bucsis transitioned to broadcasting, working as a commentator and analyst for CBC Television’s coverage of speed skating events, including the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. She has also contributed to sports journalism and public speaking, focusing on topics such as mental health, diversity, and inclusion in sport.
Bucsis is openly gay and has been an advocate for LGBTQ + rights, frequently speaking about the importance of representation and support for queer athletes. She publicly came out in 2015 and has since participated in related outreach and awareness initiatives.
