Ali Şaşal Vural (born 10 July 1990) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Süper Lig club Sivasspor.
Early Career and Club History Vural began his professional career with Altay, an İzmir-based club, where he progressed through the youth system. He made his senior debut in the TFF First League during the 2009–2010 season. Following his tenure at Altay, he transferred to Eskişehirspor in 2014, making his debut in the Süper Lig, the top flight of Turkish football.
In 2016, Vural signed with Sivasspor. During his time with the club, he established himself as a primary choice for the goalkeeper position. He was a member of the squad that won the 2021–22 Turkish Cup (Türkiye Kupası), marking a significant achievement for both the player and the club. This victory enabled the team to compete in continental competitions, including the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League, where Vural gained experience at the international club level.
International Career Vural has represented Turkey at the international level, receiving several call-ups to the senior national team starting in 2015. While he has been included in numerous matchday squads for UEFA European Championship qualifiers and friendly matches, he has primarily served in a backup capacity.
Style of Play Standing at 1.87 meters (approximately 6 feet 2 inches), Vural is noted for his shot-stopping abilities and his longevity within the Turkish Süper Lig. As of the early 2020s, he remains one of the more experienced goalkeepers in the Turkish domestic league system.
