Alfred Goodwin (pentathlete)

Alfred Goodwin was a British modern pentathlete who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm. He participated in all five events of the modern pentathlon: shooting, swimming, fencing, riding, and running. His overall placing in the competition is not definitively recorded due to complexities in the scoring system of the time, although it's known he did not win a medal. Records from the early Olympic games are often incomplete or less precise compared to modern standards. Goodwin's participation represents the early years of modern pentathlon as an Olympic sport.
