Alfred Bittins
Alfred Bittins (October 28, 1900 – March 2, 1961) was a German rower who competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics.
Early Life and Club Affiliation
Bittins was born in Stettin, Germany (now Szczecin, Poland). He was a member of the Ruder- und Tennisklub Bayer Leverkusen (RTHC Bayer Leverkusen), a prominent sports club in Leverkusen.
Olympic Career
At the 1928 Summer Olympics held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Bittins represented Germany as part of the men's eight rowing team. The German crew competed against several international teams, advancing through the heats to the final. In the final race, the team finished in fifth place.
Personal Life
Bittins passed away in Leverkusen, West Germany, in 1961.
