Aleksei Tammiste (born 29 July 1946) is a former Estonian professional basketball player who competed for the Soviet Union. Known for his exceptional shooting ability and playmaking, he is considered one of Estonia's greatest basketball players.
Career Tammiste spent the majority of his playing career with [[Kalev Tallinn]], the leading Estonian basketball club during the Soviet era. With Kalev, he was a multiple Estonian champion. His talent quickly earned him a place in the Soviet Union national basketball team.
