Alberto Winkler (13 February 1932 – 14 June 1981) was an Italian competition rower and Olympic champion.
Born in Castelbello-Ciardes, Italy, into a family of humble origins, Winkler moved to Mandello del Lario in 1954 after military service. He began working at the Moto Guzzi motorcycle manufacturer and started his rowing career with the Canottieri Moto Guzzi Club.
Winkler won a gold medal in the coxed four event at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia, alongside teammates Romano Sgheiz, Angelo Vanzin, Franco Trincavelli, and coxswain Ivo Stefanoni.
In addition to his Olympic success, Winkler also achieved notable results at the European Championships:
- Bronze medal – 1956 Bled (Coxed four)
- Gold medal – 1957 Duisburg (Eight)
- Gold medal – 1958 Poznań (Eight)
He died on 14 June 1981 in Mandello del Lario, Italy, at the age of 49.
