Albany Island is a small, uninhabited island situated in the Coral Sea off the coast of Queensland, Australia. The island lies within the boundaries of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and is administratively part of the Shire of Cook in the state of Queensland. It is located east of the Cape York Peninsula, near the mainland town of Cooktown.
The island is covered with native tropical vegetation and does not support permanent human settlement. It is occasionally visited by recreational boaters and is occasionally referenced in maritime navigation charts.
