Alan North (motorcyclist)

Alan North (born 1953) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer from Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).

North began his Grand Prix career in 1977 riding a Yamaha. In 1978 he achieved his best season, finishing the year in fourth place in the 350cc world championship behind Kork Ballington, Gregg Hansford and Michel Rougerie, with a victory at the Spanish Grand Prix. He also finished eighth in the 250cc world championship that year. North continued to compete in Grand Prix races until 1981.
