Alain Manoukian (born 1946) is a French‑Armenian fashion designer, entrepreneur, and former chairman of the eponymous fashion retail chain Alain Manoukian. He founded the company in 1972 in Marseille, France, initially as a small workshop producing ready‑to‑wear clothing. Over subsequent decades the business expanded into a multinational retail brand, operating hundreds of stores across Europe, the Middle East, and other regions. In 2005 the Alain Manoukian brand was acquired by the American fashion company BCBG Max Azria Group.
In addition to his business activities, Manoukian has participated in humanitarian and philanthropic initiatives, notably contributing to relief efforts following the 1988 Armenian earthquake. He has also served in advisory roles for the French government, including membership in the Economic, Social and Environmental Council.
