Alçalı, Kalbajar

Alçalı (also romanized as Alchaly) is a village in the Kalbajar District of Azerbaijan. It is located at coordinates approximately 40°10′52.3″N 46°06′57.9″E, at an elevation of about 1,837 metres (6,027 ft) above sea level. The village lies within the East Zangezur Economic Region and observes Azerbaijan Time (UTC+4, with summer DST UTC+5).

In 2015, the settlement was officially renamed Ağbulaq (also romanized as Aghbulag). Consequently, the former name "Alçalı" is now a historical designation for the same location. The village is situated in the mountainous terrain of the Lesser Caucasus range, within the Kalbajar District, which was under Armenian control from the First Nagorno-Karabakh War until it was returned to Azerbaijan under the 2020 ceasefire agreement.
