Ahmad Elrich

Ahmad Elrich (born 30 June 1981) is an Australian former professional soccer player who played as a winger. He represented both club sides in Australia’s National Soccer League (NSL) and A-League, and earned senior international caps for the Australia national team (the Socceroos).

Early life and background
Elrich was born in Sydney, New South Wales, to parents of Lebanese descent. He grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney and developed his football skills in local junior clubs before entering the professional ranks.

Club career

  • Parramatta Power (2000–2004) – Elrich made his senior debut in the NSL with Parramatta Power, where he established himself as a pace‑driven wide midfielder.
  • Newcastle Jets (2005–2007) – Following the NSL’s dissolution, he joined the A-League’s Newcastle Jets, becoming a regular starter and contributing to the club’s early successes.
