Ahmad (crater)

Ahmad is a small impact crater located on the anti-sunward hemisphere of Saturn's moon Enceladus. It is situated at approximately 53° South latitude and 234° West longitude. Ahmad is characterized by its relatively simple, bowl-shaped morphology, typical of smaller craters found on Enceladus. The crater likely formed from a relatively recent impact event, given its pristine appearance and lack of significant degradation by subsequent geological activity. It is named after a character in the Arabian Nights collection of stories. Its location and size make it a valuable feature for studying the impact history and surface processes of Enceladus, particularly in relation to the moon's active south polar region and cryovolcanism.
