Agostino Garofalo (born 29 September 1984 in Torre Annunziata, Italy) is a retired Italian professional footballer who played primarily as a left-back defender.
Career Overview
Garofalo began his senior career in 2001 with Terzigno before moving to Salernitana (2002–2004) and Nocerina (2004–2005). He played for Grosseto from 2005 to 2009, making 33 Serie B appearances in his final season there.
In July 2009, he was signed by Siena for €530,000 on a five-year contract. He made three Serie A appearances for Siena during the 2009–10 season. Over the following years, he was loaned to several Serie B clubs: Torino (2010–2011), Bari (2011–2012), Spezia (2012–2013), and Modena (2013–2014).
He joined Novara in August 2014 on a two-year contract, helping the club gain promotion to Serie B in 2015. He moved to Venezia in 2016, where he contributed to their promotion from Lega Pro to Serie B. Later stints included Turris (2019), Gozzano (2020), and a return to Nocerina in September 2020, where he eventually retired.
Over his career, Garofalo amassed more than 570 appearances across Italian professional leagues, including brief appearances in Serie A and extensive play in Serie B and Serie C/Lega Pro.
