Adriano Silva (Brazilian politician, born 1970)

Adriano Pereira da Silva (born November 22, 1970) is a Brazilian politician and lawyer. He currently serves as the mayor of Joinville, the largest city in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Born in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Silva pursued a career in law before entering politics. His political career began at the municipal level, where he was elected as a city councilor (vereador) in Joinville.

He subsequently expanded his political reach to the state level, serving multiple terms as a State Deputy (Deputado Estadual) for Santa Catarina in the Legislative Assembly. During his time as a state deputy, he was known for his focus on fiscal responsibility, public management, and transparency.

In 2020, Adriano Silva was elected Mayor of Joinville, representing the Partido Novo (New Party). His campaign emphasized principles of economic liberalism, a reduction in public spending, and a focus on efficient public administration. He took office on January 1, 2021. Prior to joining Partido Novo, Silva was affiliated with other political parties, including the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB), the Popular Socialist Party (PPS), and the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB).
