Adolphe Muzito

Adolphe Muzito is a Congolese politician who served as Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from October 2008 to March 2012. He was appointed by President Joseph Kabila following the resignation of Prime Minister Emmanuel Djolo Bokungu. Muzito led the government during a period marked by efforts to stabilize the country's political and economic situation, although his tenure faced criticism for slow progress in governance and development reforms.

Prior to becoming Prime Minister, Muzito held various governmental and administrative roles, including positions in the Ministry of Budget and the national railway company. He is a member of the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy (PPRD), the political party associated with President Kabila.

Following the 2011 general elections, Muzito remained in office until March 2012, when he resigned in accordance with constitutional procedures that require the prime minister to step down after presidential and legislative elections, pending the formation of a new government. He was succeeded by Augustin Matata Ponyo.

Muzito's public profile diminished after his term ended, and he has not held prominent national office since. Accurate information on his recent activities or current status is not confirmed.
