Addis Hintsa (born 10 October 1994) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in track, cross country, and road running events. He has represented Ethiopia at major international competitions, achieving success at both junior and senior levels.
Career Hintsa's international career began in the junior categories. In 2011, he competed at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships held in Punta Umbría, Spain, where he finished 5th in the junior men's race and contributed to Ethiopia's team silver medal. Later that year, he secured a gold medal in the 5000 metres at the African Junior Athletics Championships in Gaborone, Botswana.
Transitioning to senior competitions, Hintsa participated in the 2012 African Championships in Athletics in Porto-Novo, Benin, where he placed fourth in the 5000 metres. In 2013, he competed in his first senior IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, finishing 18th individually and earning a team bronze medal with the Ethiopian squad.
Throughout his career, Hintsa has also competed in various road races, including half marathons and 10K events, achieving several podium finishes.
