Adaucto Nóbrega (1904–1980) was a Brazilian lawyer, educator, and politician who served in the National Congress of Brazil during the mid-20th century. He was a prominent political figure in his home state of Paraíba.
Born Adaucto de Alencar Nóbrega in Patos, Paraíba, he pursued his higher education at the Faculty of Law of Recife, where he graduated in 1928. Prior to his political career, he worked as a professor at the Lyceum Paraibano and held various administrative and legal positions, including serving as an attorney and a state secretary in Paraíba.
Nóbrega's legislative career began with his election to the Chamber of Deputies (the lower house of the Brazilian Congress) as a representative for Paraíba. He served two terms as a Federal Deputy between 1951 and 1959, representing the National Democratic Union (União Democrática Nacional - UDN). Following his time in the Chamber, he transitioned to the Federal Senate, where he served as a Senator for Paraíba in both alternate and titular capacities throughout the 1960s and 1970s. During the period of military rule in Brazil, he became a member of the National Renewal Alliance (Aliança Renovadora Nacional - ARENA), the government-supporting party.
His career was characterized by his involvement in the judicial administration of Paraíba and his long-standing participation in the federal legislative process, particularly focusing on the interests of the Brazilian Northeast. He died in 1980. In modern Brazilian Portuguese, his first name is frequently updated to the contemporary spelling, "Adauto."
