Abubakar Sani Bello is a Nigerian politician who served as the Governor of Niger State from May 2015 to May 2023. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources in Niger State.

Born on 13 December 1975 in Niger State, Nigeria, Abubakar Sani Bello is the son of the late Major General Sani Bello, who was a military governor of Niger State (1979–1983). Bello obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and later pursued postgraduate studies in public administration.

His political career began in the administration of Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, where he was appointed Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources (2007–2015). In the 2015 general elections, he won the governorship of Niger State on the APC platform and was re‑elected in 2019. During his two terms, his administration focused on infrastructure development, education reforms, healthcare expansion, and agricultural modernization, though assessments of these initiatives vary among observers. In the 2023 elections, he was succeeded by Mohammed Umar Bago.
