The Abu Dhabi Open is a professional women's tennis tournament that is part of the WTA Tour. It debuted in 2021 and is staged in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on outdoor hard courts at the Zayed Sports City International Cricket Stadium.

Event status
The Abu Dhabi Open was introduced as a temporary addition to the 2021 calendar to offset scheduling disruptions caused by the COVID‑19 pandemic. It was not retained on the WTA Tour schedule in 2022 or subsequent years.
Other usage
The name “Abu Dhabi Open” has also been used for events in other sports, such as a Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour tournament launched in 2023. Those events are separate competitions and are not directly related to the tennis tournament described above.
