3 Molinos Resort (UCI team code: MOL) was a short-lived professional continental cycling team based in Spain. It competed in the UCI Europe Tour and, when selected, received wildcard invitations to UCI ProTour events.
History
The team was founded in 2006 as a professional continental team under the management of José Francisco Perez, with José Luis Fernandez as assistant. The general manager was Josefina Alcaráz. The team used Felt bicycles.
3 Molinos Resort existed for only a single season. In August 2006, the team announced its disbandment after funding was withdrawn, reportedly due to doping scandals. Following negotiations between team management, the Spanish Professional Cyclists Association, and a jurist, it was decided that the team would be dissolved. The 22 cyclists, three technical staff members, a sports director, and a doctor were affected. Cyclists received three months' advance payment and were released to negotiate new contracts.
