The 2024–25 Costa Rican Cup, officially known as the Copa DoradoBet 2024 for sponsorship reasons, is the ongoing edition of the national knockout football tournament in Costa Rica. Organized by the Unión de Clubes de Fútbol de la Primera División (UNAFUT) in coordination with the Liga de Ascenso (LIASCE), the competition features clubs from both the first and second tiers of the Costa Rican football league system.
The tournament features 20 participating teams: all 12 clubs from the Liga FPD (First Division) and 8 invited clubs from the Segunda División (Second Division). The selection of the Second Division teams is generally based on their sporting performance and standings from the previous season. The competition follows a single-elimination knockout format.
The 2024 edition commenced in July 2024. Matches are primarily scheduled during mid-week periods to avoid scheduling conflicts with the regular league championships (Apertura and Clausura). The tournament serves as a secondary domestic competition, designed to foster competition between different levels of the professional pyramid and to increase the visibility of football in various regions of the country.
Liga Deportiva Alajuelense entered the 2024–25 season as the defending champions, having secured the title in the 2023 edition. The tournament is governed by the technical regulations of FEDEFUTBOL (Costa Rican Football Federation) and UNAFUT, with the winner earning domestic prestige within the Central American football landscape.
