The 2024 UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships was the annual world championship for junior track cycling, organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The event took place from August 21 to August 25, 2024, in Luoyang, China. This marked the first time the Junior Track World Championships were held in China.
The competition was hosted at the Luoyang Beijiao Airport Velodrome. As a world-level championship for the junior category, participants consisted of athletes aged 17 and 18. The event featured a variety of track cycling disciplines for both male and female competitors, including sprint, keirin, team sprint, individual and team pursuit, points race, scratch race, omnium, madison, and the time trial (500m for women and 1km for men).
The championships serve as a primary international platform for emerging talent in track cycling, often featuring athletes who transition into elite professional ranks. The 2024 edition saw participation from numerous national federations, with medals awarded in 22 different events over the five-day program. Control and regulation of the technical aspects of the races were maintained by UCI officials to ensure adherence to international competitive standards.
