2020 European Championship (darts)

The 2020 European Championship was the thirteenth edition of the professional darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). It was held from 29 October to 1 November 2020 at the König-Pilsener-Arena in Oberhausen, Germany. The tournament featured the top 32 players from the PDC European Tour Order of Merit.

Background

The European Championship is an annual darts tournament that brings together the best performers from the PDC European Tour events of the year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 European Tour schedule was significantly disrupted, with fewer events taking place than originally planned. Despite these challenges, the championship proceeded as a key ranking event. Rob Cross was the defending champion, having won the 2019 edition.

Format and Qualification

The tournament featured 32 players, all of whom qualified through the PDC European Tour Order of Merit, which ranks players based on prize money won in European Tour events. The top 16 players from this ranking were seeded. All matches were played in a straight knockout format.

Tournament Summary
