Serie A

Coppa Italia
In the domestic cup, Roma entered at the round of 16. The club progressed to the quarter‑finals, where it was eliminated by Juventus after a 2–2 draw in regular time followed by a 2–1 extra‑time defeat, resulting in a 4–3 aggregate loss.
UEFA Champions League
Roma qualified for the Champions League group stage by virtue of its 2016–17 Serie A finish. Placed in Group F alongside Manchester United, Porto, and RB Lipsk, Roma finished second with 12 points (four wins, two draws, two losses), advancing to the knockout phase. In the round of 16, the side faced Liverpool. After a 5–2 defeat at Anfield in the first leg and a 1–0 victory at home in the second, Roma were eliminated 5–3 on aggregate.
