It was part of the 2017 ATP Challenger Tour and represented the 3rd edition of the tournament. The event took place at the Bourbon Beans Dome in Kobe, Japan, from November 6 to November 12, 2017.
In the singles competition, the title was won by Stéphane Robert of France, who defeated Calvin Hemery in the final with a score of 6–2, 6–4. This victory marked Robert’s first Challenger title of the 2017 season.
The doubles competition was won by the top-seeded pair, Ben McLachlan of Japan and Yasutaka Uchiyama of Japan. They defeated the second-seeded team of Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Christopher Rungkat in the final with a score of 4–6, 6–3, [10–8].
