The 2013–14 FA Cup was the 133rd season of the world's oldest national football competition, the Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the FA Cup. It commenced with the Extra Preliminary Round on 17 August 2013 and concluded with the final on 17 May 2014. The competition was open to clubs from the Premier League, the Football League, and steps 1–5 of the National League System. A total of 737 teams entered the tournament.
The final was played at Wembley Stadium in London between Arsenal and Hull City. Arsenal emerged as the winners, defeating Hull City 3–2 after extra time, having initially fallen behind 2–0 within the first eight minutes of the match. Goals from Santi Cazorla, Laurent Koscielny, and Aaron Ramsey secured Arsenal's 11th FA Cup title, ending a nine-year trophy drought for the club.
As winners, Arsenal qualified for the group stage of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League. However, since they had already qualified for the 2014–15 UEFA Champions League via their league position, the Europa League spot was passed down to the highest-ranked Premier League team not already qualified for European competition. Arsenal also earned a place in the 2014 FA Community Shield, where they defeated 2013–14 Premier League champions Manchester City.
Notable upsets during the competition included Sheffield United, a League One club, reaching the semi-finals, where they were narrowly defeated by Hull City. Wigan Athletic, the holders from the 2012–13 season, reached the semi-finals but were eliminated by Arsenal in a penalty shootout.
