The 2005 Lehigh Mountain Hawks football team represented Lehigh University during the 2005 NCAA Division I-AA football season. The team competed as a member of the Patriot League and finished third in the conference standings with a 4–2 conference record.
Under head coach Pete Lembo, who was in his fifth and final season, the Mountain Hawks compiled an overall record of 8–3. The team outscored opponents 399 to 228 over the course of the season. Team captains were Mark Borda, Kaloma Cardwell, Anthony Graziani, and Adam Selmasska. The defensive coordinator was Gerard Wilcher in his first season.
The Mountain Hawks were ranked No. 14 in the preseason Division I-AA national poll and remained in the top 25 throughout the regular season, reaching as high as No. 11 and falling as low as No. 20. A season-ending loss to unranked archrival Lafayette dropped Lehigh out of the final poll. All home games were played at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The Mountain Hawks finished the season with notable wins over Harvard, Yale, and Colgate, but suffered close losses to Delaware (34–33), Holy Cross (13–10), and Lafayette (23–19).
