The 2003 Red Bull Barako season was the fourth season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The team was known as Red Bull Barako starting the Invitational Conference. The franchise was owned by Tony Chua, who also served as general manager, with Yeng Guiao serving as head coach.
Conference Results
All-Filipino Cup
The team compiled a regular-season record of 15–6 (71.4%) during the All-Filipino Cup. They advanced to the playoffs but were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Invitational Conference
Red Bull Barako posted a 3–3 record (50%) in the Invitational Conference, finishing fourth in the standings. They reached the crossover semifinals but lost to Alaska. Notably, the team was tied with FedEx at 3–1 in Group A standings and secured the last berth in the crossover semifinals through a controversial ending in their game against Talk 'N Text. The Phone Pals won that game 88–87 but needed to win by eight points to advance; Talk 'N Text players shot at Red Bull's basket while enjoying the lead in the closing seconds, an act that drew sanctions from the league.
Reinforced Conference
Red Bull Barako recorded a 12–4 mark (75%) in the Reinforced Conference. In the best-of-three quarterfinals series against Talk 'N Text, Red Bull lost the deciding third game. During that game, guard Jimwell Torion committed a vicious clothesline foul on Talk 'N Text's Jimmy Alapag with the outcome already beyond doubt, resulting in an eight-month suspension for Torion.
