The 1984 Association of Mid-Continent Universities baseball tournament was the inaugural postseason baseball championship for the Association of Mid-Continent Universities (AMCU), a conference now known as the Summit League. The tournament took place from May 4 through May 6, 1984, in Chicago, Illinois.
Format
All seven regular season finishers of the league's member teams participated in a double-elimination tournament. Because the conference's first season did not include a round-robin regular season schedule, teams were matched for the first round by a random draw.
Participants
The seven participating teams were: Cleveland State, Eastern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Southwest Missouri State, UIC, Valparaiso, and Western Illinois.
Results
Southwest Missouri State (now Missouri State University) won the tournament, claiming its first AMCU baseball championship. The team was coached by Keith Guttin, who earned his first conference tournament title. Southwest Missouri State defeated Northern Iowa in the championship game.

Significance
This tournament marked the first year of baseball competition for the AMCU. The conference did not adopt a regular-season conference schedule in its inaugural season. The tournament champion did not receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament, as the AMCU was not yet an established Division I baseball conference at that time.
