Champion
Maccabi Elite (Israel) won its first FIBA Intercontinental Cup title, finishing tied on points with Atlética Francana but claiming the championship based on their head-to-head victory (88–74) on Day 4. The tournament was officially named the "William Jones" Cup in honor of Dr. R. William Jones, the former Secretary General of FIBA, a naming convention used for the competition from 1973 to 1984.
