The 1927 Latvian Higher League (Latvian: 1927. gada Latvijas Futbola virslīga) was the inaugural season of the top-tier football competition in Latvia. Prior to this season, the Latvian football champion was determined through a tournament-style format; the 1927 season marked the transition to a league-based system.
The competition featured four teams: Olimpija Liepāja, RFK (Rīgas Futbola klubs), LSB Rīga, and Amatieris Rīga. The season was conducted as a double round-robin tournament, where each participant played the others twice, resulting in a total of six matches per team.
Olimpija Liepāja won the championship, finishing the season with a perfect record of six wins and zero losses. RFK, the defending champion from the previous year’s tournament format, finished in second place.
